Made by Tim Hegman
Tim is a "leftie," who had to reinterpret every instruction in mirror image. He also had to work against the standard S-twist of most worsted 4-ply by continuously re-twirling the yarn between stitches. |

Made by Kathryn Nerison
Kathryn is a skilled embroiderer. She used a smaller gauge yarn than wosted, and took wider stitches, leaving space for the base of the ball to show through. She maintained the same tension throughout this, her first singlade ball. I really like this one. It kind of looks knitted. Kathryn's second ball used her favorite colors, blue and green, in a gradient field, making six sections, looking like slices. Cool swirl effect at the poles. |
